Aaaah, Sirius.. he and Remus are my favorites. When I found this pic I just had to draw it.. This is how I imagine him around the end of Christmastime.. startin' to get a little rough around the edges. ;\ Poor Siriuuuus..

Coming Next: My next portrait will be Hermione, but that might be in a while. I've been really wanting to do an illustrated scene of some kind..

4H pencil for first outlines
Charcoal pencils for shading
Charcoal stick for large areas
White charcoal pencil for highlights
Blending stumps for blending
Q-tips
Kneaded eraser
Sketchbook paper

Method:
I drew the first outlines very lightly, with no shading. I scanned that in and compared it with the original photograph to see which of my lines were off, and fixed them on my drawing before beginning to shade. This helps quite a lot, since it shows you where you tend to mess up, I suggest trying it!
